These terms apply to the Altermise app operated by Jac Davies. By creating an account you confirm you have read and agree to these terms. Last updated: 23 August 2026.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. By accepting these terms you confirm you meet this requirement.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal use. You may not reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the app or its content.
All intellectual property in the app including code, design, content, recipes, lessons, and branding belongs to Jac Davies. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding.
The app offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple's in-app purchase system. Prices are displayed in the app before purchase.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time before the next billing date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment and are non-refundable after 7 days from purchase, except where required by applicable law.
You agree not to use the app to post, share, or submit content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Recipes and cooking guidance in the app are provided for informational purposes only. The operator does not accept liability for any illness, injury, or damage arising from following recipes or cooking instructions in the app. You are responsible for ensuring food is cooked safely and to appropriate temperatures.
Some features use artificial intelligence to generate recommendations and suggestions. AI outputs are informational only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. You should apply your own judgement before acting on any AI recommendation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We retain full liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
